It's 2012 hardware, neither the CPU nor the motherboard support TPM 2.0 so I cannot install Windows 11 in that system. Unfortunately the only other physical PC I have here has an Intel i7 3770K on a ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe motherboard. I'm getting really frustrated with Microsoft and their idiotic requirements. Just a volunteer Moderator, not connected to or affiliated with Winstep Software Technologies, and not an official part of customer service though I do try to help when and where I can if my scarce time permits I'm sure Jorge would tell you pretty much the same.

The major difference betwixt the two is that Xtreme adds a whole lot more functionality, e.g., desktop modules, custom menus, and the NextSTART taskbar to replace the Windows taskbar. Nexus Ultimate would make any difference at all. It all helps avoid anyone trying to help having to ask supplementary questions.Īs for your other post, I very much doubt that in that particular case Winstep Xtreme v. Don't forget though, when posting a query, to give as much detail as possible such as OS and version, and which Winstep app and version, where appropriate. Small correction - it's Winstep Xtreme, not NeXus Xtreme, and NeXus Ultimate.Ī very laudable approach to problem solving, I wish more folks would follow the same process. I am awed at just how detailed it is and how Jorge has built on it over time. It really is worth the time to explore Extreme and see the width and depth of the software. That way we don't play 20 Questions while everyone tries to figure out what I do and don't need help with. It's easier for them to help if I can be explicit in what I've tried, what's worked, what hasn't worked, etc. After that, the FAQs and the forum search option are my next step for information/help, and then if I'm truly stuck then I'll send out an SOS to other members. There are still features I'm puzzling over and want to explore further to figure them out. I use both Windows-based software and open-source software. I have my software programs on the shelf.

See what all it does, especially the Shelf.

You have to take time and explore Nexus Ultimate's different features. I'm using Nexus Extreme on Win 11 and no problems with using it so far.
