Debut record Tourist History certainly had its moments, they busted their gut for years on the touring circuit, plus they even caved in to The Man and soundtracked the odd TV ad (they've bills to pay, we get it). How exactly TDCC went from cute indie-pop darlings to just a lil' bit massive is tough to pinpoint. Not to mention these three bashful gents from Northern Ireland can count one Barack Obama as a fan and the singer, Alex 'Zack Morris-meets-Fozzie Bear' Trimble, found himself in front of a horde of choir boys to open the Olympics. When Two Door Cinema Club announced their return the other week, umpteen teenyboppers the world over quit tweeting their rage at KStew for a second to welcome back their fav band-band.
